Emergency Food & Shelter Programs
Phase 41 Funding Announced
As part of the Homeland Security funds to supplement and expand emergency food and shelter programs, Clay County, Sullivan County, and Vigo County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Programs have received awards for distribution to eligible agencies via a competitive grant process.
- Vigo County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Program has received an award of $38,599 for Phase 41.
- Sullivan County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Program has received an award of $6,657 for Phase 41.
- Clay County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Program has received an award of $9,824 for Phase 41.
Not-for-profit agencies and governmental agencies currently providing these services may apply for the funds to supplement and expand current services. Local organizations chosen to receive funds must: 1) be private voluntary nonprofits (with a voluntary board) or units of government, 2) be eligible to receive Federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice non-discrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs.
