Emergency Food & Shelter Programs
Phase 40 Funding Announced

As part of the Homeland Security funds to supplement and expand emergency food and shelter programs, Clay County, Sullivan County, and Vigo County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Program have received awards for distribution to eligible agencies.
- Vigo County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Program has received an award of $30,823 for Phase 40.
- Sullivan County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Program has received an award of $4,132 for Phase 40.
- Clay County’s local Emergency Food & Shelter Board Program has received an award of $5,409 for Phase 40.
Not-for-profit agencies and governmental agencies currently providing these services may apply for the funds to supplement and expand current services. Local organizations chosen to receive funds must: 1) be private voluntary nonprofits (with a voluntary board) or units of government, 2) be eligible to receive Federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice non-discrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs.
