A Message from the 2010 Campaign Chair, Tim Sturgess

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the 2010 United Way of the Wabash Valley Campaign Chair.  The United Way plays a vital role in helping organizations serve the needs of our community.

In the Wabash Valley alone, the United Way serves 39 agencies that provide a number of services as diverse as the people that benefit from them.  Last year thousands of lives were changed by the programs and services that were funded by the United Way of the Wabash Valley.

The current economy has only increased the amount of people that rely on United Way funded programs in order to help meet the needs of the Wabash Valley.  I’m continually amazed that, despite tough economic conditions, people in this area CONTINUE TO MEET THOSE NEEDS.  We’re asking that you get involved.  If you’re already involved, we’re asking that you do just a little bit more.  Whether it is with your own financial commitment or whether it is volunteering your time to assist.

To borrow a line that I read recently:  EVERYTHING COUNTS AND EVERYONE MATTERS.  Please consider getting involved with United Way and your community.  Together we can energize and inspire one another to new heights of service to those in need!   Make a contribution to United Way!  I don't just wear the shirt,
    I live it!

    Sincerely,

    Tim Sturgess
